Sorry for the delay folks....I was in early yesterday morning before the deadline and then got tied up with work! Yes, I had to work on Labor Day! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. I put in 32 hours of straight time, that's right...no overtime, and then went home and had a dinner with family.

Anyways...may I have a drom roll please.....the winner of this month's contest is Wapiti! Congrats on the win to a fine macro in red.

Chenango Dave is the runner-up with an excellent green nature shot.

Thanks everyone! That photo is my wife's favorite to date that I've taken.

It was moss on a sycamore tree, it had just rained, I used the on board flash and a reversed 24mm lens, the red color came from a leaf that was stuck in the background. Those fruiting spores are the size of a hair root.
