Had an inmate telling me the other day that he was from Australia.

Claimed that the Razorbacks as he called them Ran in the 1800lb and up
range. Said his sister had the "family record" at 2200lb.

My family raised hogs when I was growing up and domestic hogs seldom get over 1000lb. That is sitting in a pen all day with a 24 hour all you can eat buffet of the most nutritios food available.

I find 2200lb wild hogs a little hard to swallow.

He said some other stuff that I knew was baloney (A 7.625 caliber rifle good for deer out to 2 miles?) But I was wondering if there was any possibility of australian hogs this size.

Thanks,

I seen one! In that movie "Razorback". Pretty impressive. Oh ya, I saw "Godzilla" too.

He must be serving time on a fraud conviction, or needs to be transferred to a psychiatric facility with a change of medication. Ask to see a picture! WB

2200 lbs is TWICE the size of a BIG male Polar Bear.

If hogs do get that big, we are going to have to re-think our advice on the thread questioning whether a .243 is enough gun.
