Went camping with my son this weekend and found these. Should have seen the look on his face when I showed him. We found the match only 30 yards away. It is a 6 x7 have not scored it yet, but will soon. Had to take the "as they lay" pics with my cell phone (forgot my good camera). I have some better pics that I took when I got home. Will be posting those when I get a chance.

:smiley_green_with_e WOW! In 06 while mule deer hunting in Wyoming I found a 5x5 matched set but not as big as those! Very nice. Let us all know what they score.

Nice Jim. I'll guess that matched set to be 345 net.

Thanks One Track !

Question for anyone ??

What is the proper way to score sheds ? Is it the same way as a rack attached to the skull ? If so how do you estimate the spread not knowing how it attached or the angle at which it grew out of the head ?

OK, here are the measurements, minus the spread measurements. I was following the directions on the B&C site, so feel free to critique and check my math. I am by no means a pro at this part. I count 313.25 total inches. There are some broken tips on the left antler that look like it would have added approximately 3 to 4 more inches.

Left Antler
Main Beam 53 6/8
G1 14 6/8
G2 13/5/8 (broken tip )
G3 13 3/8
G4 17 6/8 (broken tip)
G5 10 7/8
G6 3 2/8
H1 8 7/8
H2 6 2/8
H3 6 3/8
H4 5 3/8
Total = 154.25

Right Antler
Main Beam 53 5/8
G1 14 4/8
G2 17 1/8
G3 14 1/8
G4 21 7/8
G5 11 1/8
H1 9
H2 6 1/8
H3 6 3/8
H4 5 3/8
Total = 159.5

So my question is what does all this mean? Is the spread estimated some how or do you just count each beam individually and disregard the spread ?

hornsantlersandbigracks,

sorry I missed your question. Yes they are fresh there was a little blood stain on them, I guess maybe a week old ? The tracks were pretty fresh in the area I found them.

Also anyone a member of NASHC ? I found this website.
