Neat shots! I was thinking when I saw them, "I wonder what they would look like in black and white?" Did you try black and white when you edited them? I think the limbs against the snow and the deer might look pretty neat. Just my ponderings.

I didn't but thank you for giving me something to do. Wildlife in B&W is pretty tricky, I've only seen a few black and white wildlife pictures that I have liked. Here is one in B&W for an example (this isn't one of the B&W wildlifes that I've liked, lol).

edit- here it is as a duotone, which I think looks a little nicer (converting to a duotone makes very large files). I added a little lens vignette to give it an older look.

I like the black and white and the duo tone - don't know which one I like best though - they both have their place. The original pics had so few colors in them to begin with, that I could just picture them in black and white. To me, the B&W makes the deer stand out and I like the color contrast between the branches and the snow. Thanks for humoring me!! Beautiful pics!

The duotone is pretty cool. The black and white in my opinion takes away from that pic.

Need to learn more about editing software. Have not really played around much with post photo processing.

Thank you again Ranchwife, and thank you Wtnhunt. Wtnhunt, playing around with editing software can be almost as fun as getting out and taking pics. I used to hate it until I bought a book about post processing. Now that I have some idea on what the software can do... I don't hate it so much, lol.
