Whack 'em, Hatchet!

I'm hanging tight at the home front this week. Freezer is full for now, and I have more hunting coming soon.

I am heading out on Saturday morning after the storm, going for a meat hog this time around.

Hatchet, from a new guy, does it make a difference with hogs, before, during or after a storm? What's your opinion?

I gotta work this week:mad:. I might take the kids for a hunt Friday evening. You get the pre storm hunt, and I'll take the mid post storm hunt.

afirmitive bigworm!! yota, ive always had good luck hunting before ,during and after storms, just seems like the critters know whats up and tend to move alot more, for hogs i would have to say that right after a good storm would be the best, tracking,
rooting and such, the swine tend to move all day after the storms due to the rooting being easier for um,the greety buggers try to hit every hot spot they can before somebody else does!!! early bird, gets the worm!!!:bag-on-head::eek:

Thanks Hatchet,
I was thinking after the storm might be good, since it has been so warm lately things sure dried up fast around the ranch. Figured after a good rain it would sure loosen things up and have them out and about.

Thanks again!

Hell, the more I think about it I might just head back up to Lake sonoma again. Rain thursday, Friday. Saturday should be good. going to stay away from the shotgun area though. Won't have my boat either because some yahoo rearended it on the way up last Friday. Its at the shop getting an estimate. Tore up the guys truck though. Could be a long story but don't want to hijack the thread.
