Has anyone hunted the Big Horn Canyon Ranch in riverside county California? Is it a guided or unguided hunt? By the price $350 I'm guessing unguided. Do you recommend it? Also are they going out of business?

Biscuit Barrel, it looks like you're fairly new to JHO, so please don't take this as rude... but it would really be a good idea for any member wanting to find out about an operation to do two things.

First, check out the Guide/Outfitter Reviews section on the main page. This will usually give you some basic info, often from people who've used the operator in the past.

Second, perform a search of the site using the keywords (in this case, Bighorn Canyon). You will then see all of the previous posts regarding this topic.

You will also see that your particular question has been asked no less than four times in the past two months, and an uncountable number of times over the past few years. It has generated significant discussion, because of the type of operation they run (high-fenced, "put-and-take" hogs).

Because of this, replies to your question will often be short or slow to come because many members have responded to the same question so many times already.

After doing the research, if you still have unanswered questions, ask away.

It's not a "fair chase" hunt - it's a "canned hunt" stocked with pen-raised animals. No disrespect or judgement towards other "hunters" who have been there, but it is about as unethical hunting as it gets.
