10:0308081404.jpg]while doing some much needed ranch maintinence from a wind storm a few weeks back we spotted this big boy bedded down. our hunters were back at camp having lunch so we dropped what we were doing to get them two of them had not got a pig yet so we got them on the quads and headed up the mountian to put a stalk on him every thing was perfect nice soft dirt to walk through and the wind in our face we came to a rock pile about 80 yds from were bill had seen it we all glassed the spot and couldnt see it but we knew it was still there so the plan position both hunters for a shot and bill and his dog to flush the hog to us so bill and the dog flank the pig hopefully to have it scent them and run to the hunters . well it seemed the pig liked his spot and didnt want to move the dog barking at it didnt do it but the tree branch thrown at it did the trick he got up ran into an opening 60 yds away spotted us and he knew he was hosed and started looking left to right real quickly im yelling shoot shoot just as the hog figured wich way he was going to go boom and boom the fist shot knocked him to his knees and he jumped up just as the second shot hit him and he was down wich bill and i were happy about not to bad of a spot to get it out of and no chasing a wounded hog as big as my self it weighed in at 225lbs with 2-3/4'' inch teeth that is me standing next to it at the skinning rack and bubba sitting with his prize
