Hey joel,
I found a fresh bullet hole in a tree in the area you told me to check last weekend. I didn't think going CSI on it would help, but definitely thought I should let you and other JHOer's know. It was in an area that was clearly army corp. property and the closest private property was probably a 1/2 mile away. On Saturday there were quite a few families and what not reading that little "notice to hunters" at the visitor center. What a black eye to archers. I was embarassed!

Thanks for everything,

Embarassed for what? Because you found a bullet hole in a tree?

Remember before you get embarassed other folks besides hunters shoot guns and break laws.

I wasn't embarassed about the bullet hole. I just mentioned that. It just makes the people that do follow the rules and hunt without problems look bad. The non-hunters kinda seem to lump us all together. Ya know.

jkvshooter,
I agree with you 100%.It really is an insult. It makes us all look bad.It sends the message to the wrong people, and to whom it's meant for can really give a hoot.(The slobs and poachers)
How do they know that hide wasn't dragged in by coyotes?
Maybe an anti set it up there or pulled it out of a garbage can?
I think some exhausted airhead hunter simply drove off and forgot about it.Doesn't seem like a crime to me.
Does the ACOE post pictures of campers garbage strone out all over the lake campsites?Drunks brawling at the boat launch?
