Deer Season Wrap-up: The county's buck season ended Nov. 24, but reports continue to filter in: Walter Treadwell of Oceanside shot a 4x4 buck with a .44-magnum pistol on private land in Julian. Treadwell, hunting on Saturday, the day before the season's end, said the buck weighed 182 pounds on the hoof, a giant deer for these parts.
