Here are a couple pics of a boar hog a friend of mine just shot. I built him this Game Hoist a year ago and he had not used it up until now. He said it field dressed at #275 on his scale and the Firefighter I work with said when they took it to the Meat Locker and it weighed in at #285 field dressed
<

It doesn't really look like #285 to me but there is no reason for this fella to lie. He isn't even a big time hunter. He just shoots them to get rid of them from his fathers ranch.

This is the hoist I built him. He said it dressed at 285# at the butcher Look at the BEND in that Hoist..

I've shot a few sow weighing between 180 and 200lbs, and to me that hog looks like 285 with no problem. NICE!!

Good Hunting,

Thanks for the "Plug" Bob. I have built a good number of those hoists for folks .My problem is that I always end up selling MY PERSONAL HOIST to people that NEED one "NOW" and I'm out of luck when it comes to skinning my game while I'm in the woods. Well that has changed since yesterday. I FINALLY built myself one out of old rusted tubing and an old winch that I had laying around. I painted it with "Ospho" to kill the rust and just hand painted over it with some rustoleum black paint. It looks kind of ROUGH so I'm guessing that I won't be tempted to sell it so quickly to anyone in NEED

. They do make it a LOT easier when it come to skinning and loading animals into your truck. A real BACK saver if you ask me. A must if you hunt alone a lot.
