Friend of mine spotted their brochure. Looks like a good deal. Any one around here ever hunt this place. It's about a thousand acres from what I hear outside of Riverside.

Lot's of info on here about Bighorn. Do a search and you will get all the good and bad. I went there for my first "pig hunt". It really wasnt a hunt, more like a slaughter. Wasnt my type of hunt at all, but thats just my 2 cents. TYhe exotics looked like a lot bigger challenge. Take a bow and it might be worth it, but with a rifle it will be over VERY quickly.

I don't do canned hunts. Thanks for the feedback. I'll pass on this one.

the exotics are wild. yes it's fenced, but is 1000 acres of VERY steep terrain. I have not hunted there, but I am familiar with the area and 1000 acres in the Badlands is a lot.

the pigs are not wild, though, just on the way to going feral from the looks of them.

1000 acres is a stretch. I think its more like 600-700.

its 600 acres, if anyone cares. If anyone rifle hunts there, it will be over in minutes.

My 11 yr old son just took his first animal there with my .243. He got a nice little Barbados ram. I think it is great to get a young hunter going, but if you're a seasoned vet gun hunter I think you may be unsatisfied. The archers there seemed like they may have a bit of a challenge. That being said...there has been lots written bad about the place, and some good. Fact is I did not see any animals that would just let you walk up to them as has been stated in previous posts. Reportedly they are bringing in some nice little Russians....all I saw was the flash of one boar's butt as it ran from a road real pronto like! Not to willing to get plugged I guess.

I MET THE OWNER AT THE LAST SPORTSMAN SHOW AT POMONA AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE IS BUYING HUGS IN CANADA, AND FROM OUR CONVERSATION IT IS A CANNED HUNT, HE CALLED IT A HUNTING PRESERVE.
