Which one(s) do you recommend? I just bought a Bogen 190XB tripod and use Leupold 10x40 roof prism glass (will be upgrading the glass soon). I see some adapters for nearly $100 and others for $15. Obviously you get what you pay for but I am just wondering if I should spend that kind of $$$ for an accessory that seems so secondary.

It's not secondary at all. Go with quality. I use a Jim White adaptor which I highly recommend. I got it through Amanda at http://www.coueswhitetail.com
