I looked at them. They're flimsy, not as easy to set up as your led to believe, and a bit noisy. Go with the shooting sticks or the bipod, I have both.

Shooting sticks for me, store bought fold up alum when I'm long distance marching and DIY wooden ones when I am going to be sitting alot...
The homemade ones were free and the store boughts were about $30.

I use a shooting stick, bi-pod type, mainly because it gives me the option for a long shot and it is a great walking stick and/or snake smacker. There are a number of adjustable shooting sticks on the market. Get the lightest one, telescoptic, about $60. I think the tri-pod is too complicated.

I've used a Harris bipod for years now and love it. Yes there are times it isn't easy to use, but during those times I use shooting sticks or simply sit down or kneel. There is also a sling out there now that has shooting sticks built into it for ease of carry and access. Not sure how well they work though. I've never run into a problem with the bipod hurting me while it was slung either. The bipod is especially helpful for those long shots across canyons or when you can't get any closer. It really makes it stable and lets you get a good point of aim. If time permits when using the bipod you can even roll up a shirt or jacket and place it under the butt of the stock to make a super stable shooting position.
