birds stealing my pears

We have a pear tree out the back and we let the birds get stuck into the fruit each year. It gives us a chance to see some great birds....
This is a red wattle bird (a young one)


This is a rainbow lorikeet



And a spotted pardilote (come for the insects hanging around)

The coloring on that Spotted Pardalote is really awesome. Especially for a bird that small.
The Lorikeet is brilliant. It is fun to watch the people walk under the ones in the pen at the animal park, and complain about the drips. Must be great to see them in the wild.

nice Lori. I have only ever seen a red Lori here in town at a bird store. Real cool bird and lots or personality. lol not a pet I could or would ever own for the 2k they were asking.
