I found this forum during deer season and I found it very interesting. Last weekend I decided to try and see if I could find any sheds. Well I did, and now I can't stop thinking about finding more. It was so fun and a bit of a workout too. Couldn't go out this weekend, but definitely next weekend. Here are the pictures of the NorCal columbian blacktail sheds.
This is the very first one that I found and less than 10 feet away was its mate. I was so excited, because this was a fresh set still had blood. A monster blacktail rack.
Here is an old shed that was almost identical to the set, but had a lot more mass.
This fresh shed is wide! It had at least six points, but there was an old break so I guess I'll never know how big he really was. I am going to look for the other side next weekend.
