first off,congrats to all the tejonians for what sounded like another
tejon massacre!! and hats off to wild1 for porking a public land pig!!
here is my latest murder that took place over the holiday weekend..
just an average joe of a boar..but one with an attitude..seems like the blondes are way more bitchy than the others.. anyone? this dude took
3 rounds to silence..after ass shooting him on the run,, i found him standing under some oaks.. thinking about laying down or continuing..
at that point i sent a piece of copper thru his lungs,and as expected he took off running down hill..when he finally crashed into the canyon from hell{we all have one or 2} i started my decent..as i approached i noted
the youngster on his side with no resperations{so i thought}at that very instant he rose to his feet and turned to face me..i reached the barrel out
on the old .270 and bang sticked him in the back of the melon..upon
autopsy..it was noted that the first shot indeed had hit him in the arse..but traveled up into the right shoulder area..2nd shot had passed thru both lungs and left a pin hole thru both lobes..and well. the 3rd
was menacing..:skeered:enjoy the money shots:pig-laughing:

:skeered:no gutting involed..selective butchering is a technique that really cant be beat..
some folks call it "gutless method" regardless.. i cant remember the last time
ive actually gutted a pig.. and yes ..he was not for the faint of heart as he did
carry come man juice smell to him..:skeered:and thanks:toast-yellow:

I hear ya on the gutless method. I butchered an elk that way and it was great.

thanks gents.. affirmitive pat.. ive learned to work smarter ..not harder.
20 years ago i would pack a hog out with out hesitation..these days its
get the money shots..then start the disection of the carcass leaving the rest for the condor..not that im that old..41. but man it sure is alot easier and makes more sense to me to take only the meat off the bones and kick the rest in the ditch..just doing
my part in the condor restoration program..:chainsaw:

Gutless is the way to go! Did the same at Tejon (again) this weekend... no point carrying all that extra stuff along if you don't have to.

Nice work on the hog, AGAIN..Ok..I have to ask..What is the process for "Selective Butchering"? I have an idea..But, can someone lay it out for me....
