boar hunt turned bad

Well shot one sow... then ended up sticking my knife thru my hand.... not a good way to end the day...got 50lbs+ of boned out meat and found a rage broadhead and arrow shaft inside the cavity of her! Let me remind you I shot his boar with a 338 win mag.... the arrow was found while deboneing! One tough pig!

I keep asking my self the same question... i really never felt the entry or exit until i felt the warmth of the blood... I looked down and it was squirting out...I grabbed my game bag and put pressure on the wound and then it started squirting out the other side... i guess being trained as a medic does come in handy... I walked 1.5 miles out.... and then drove 25 minutes to meet up with the wife and then another 25min to the hospital...yikes!

Makes me glad I keep a first aid kit in my hunting pack!

You turn the push mower upside down and its your buddies turn to pull the mower wile you throw sticks and stuff in the fast turning blades :skeered: i should of lost 2 fingers but i lucked out, my dad just sharpened them the day before so it was like super clean cut, it was my index finger right at the first joint, they did a good job but the tip died and i had to have it removed bummer i was 12 years old end of story.

Both you and that porker had a rough week. The pig had been recently shot with an arrow and you have a rather large self inflicted wound. I hope there's no nerve damage...have you lost any dexterity? I can honestly say I've never been stabbed without knowing it.
