Very nice hog. I love seeing mounts that aren't typical. Your definitely right, the one tusk does give it character! Did the other tusk break off? It looks to me that this guy never grew the other one. Thats really unique, never seen that before.

500+grns.... you haven't been a member long so i'd be a little more considerate when posting. When some one posts an animal they harvested give em a break if ya don't like the mount job, its a hell of a pig either way you look at it. So take a look around the forum and you won't see many posts like yours. Keep it to yourself, this site is for hunters and shooting fanatics alike to discuss topics and share advice, we don't need comments like yours taking up space....

Guess I missed something here. 500-grns, nowhere did Fred tell the guy what he thought of his mount. He said: "congrats". Also, Fred didn't say he hates you. He hates the action that was taken. The way you come across, it appears that you can only give out criticism and not take it. One day your opinion may be valued, but as for now, it appears it isn't valuable or valued on this subject, and you have no credibility due to your lack of common sense and etiquette. I hope you don't hunt like your responses, otherwise, you have probably shot several bushes because you thought something moved and you never checked it out.

A trophy is in the eyes of the beholder. This is my Biggest with Rifle and I have one at the Taxidermist I shot a few years with a bow. His left upper was rotten and really as you see it sorta grew back into the gum line.

Shot, the tusk had been broken off before I shot it. There is about 1/2 inch left of it.

Just remember too that just because someone didn't spend top $$$ on a mount doesn't mean they didn't want too. Some of us aren't rolling in $$$ and maybe we get what we can afford.

I love that color too. Looks like it could have been the daddy of the hog I killed last weekend. I've killed a bunch of 'em and this is the first blondish one I've ever shot. Definitely makes for a more unique mount. I kinda like that big old funky toof too.
