I think it's time to start planning another JHO group hunt!
When? I'm all for it.

It's great to have my deer in the freezer, but dang it makes for a long season when you tag out on the opener. I'm so ready to go hunting, I can't hardly stand myself!

I could be in for December, but it would have to be before the 17th. Getting the same group together sounds good to me.

jdhowe,

The only reason we would leave anyone out would be if our whole group or most of it returned. We were up to Chopper's absolute limit with 11 guys. The property won't support any more than that.

Nice hog, Bubba. Make sure you oil it with a product called wig conditioner and restorer. You can get it at Sally's Beauty supply. It is an oil that will keep the hair from drying out or falling out. You spray it on and after a day or so it is soaked into the hair and then you hang your mount back up. Do this for all your mounts. If it goes above the fireplace I would do it every year; otherwise every other year would be fine.

It's up. Talked the wife into letting me put it up.

Tell your wife what I told mine. The garage is too hot and it will destroy the mount. In my case it was pretty much the truth.

Hey Bubba,
Mount the head outside, next to your front door, about shoulder high. That way you could put the doorbell button on his tongue.

Prices vary, but mine cost 250. From a local Taxidermist here in Los Banos. Got it back in 3 months.

The mount looks great on the wall there. I see you painted the walls...the game room is looking good. Where's the bar?
