So SDHNTR and Bearclaw are on a roll- flat tire and everything. SD still managed to get his spare tire on, make it thru LA traffic, pick up Bearclaw, swap-out vehicles, get in the field and put the stalk on some hogs tonight. With temperatures at 98 degrees today, we all looked at each other wistfully when the hogs rolled in at 7:49. YIKES, could we get in there in time before the sun went down? Hauled butt and flew into the field met the hogs halfway perfectly... SD & Bearclaw spread like stealth through the field, putting the perfect stalk on this nice set of hogs. A tear rolled down our cheeks as the last decent ray of shooting light descended from their bows (I should have written romance novels) within moments/yards of bagging a perfect hunt.

Hogs are toast tomorrow.

Now that is what I call "great service." A built-in "play by play" feature at Bryson. It's almost 9am, and I'd bet my boys already have a couple hanging. Both are serious killers.

Deedy: If I were you, I'd have those boys buckin' hay, and splittin' firewood all day long.

I should do that - I wonder how they are at making beds? Karin and I already cut & split the firewood (no kidding) and bucked the hay. Seriously, those guys are like stealth killing machines- nice! I haven't heard from them this morning yet, they were in on the hogs at first light. I'll post as soon as I get a phone call... I'm sitting here doing the same thing you guys are

Hogs are toast this weekend though. I even turned on the walk-in meat locker in advance. I never do that.

So they've shot squirrels with the bows, counted about a ton of pigs, they were at 10 yards this morning on the hogs and the hogs got through the brush. Oh yeah, and then they got on the turkeys and picked one of those out too. I think they are "shopping" at all the pig spots... They seem to like the bigger ones... they've got a couple picked out that are the size of small cows. Imagine that.

Something other than dirt rats is going to die tonight. It just needs to cool down by about 59 degrees.

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. That just about brought a tear to my eye. My heart is swelling. I will now be able to get some sleep.

Knowing these guys, it was a team effort. Can't wait to hear more.

I just got home and am going straight to bed. Don't get too fired up, the actual kill was not all that exciting, although we sure had a great time. In fact, the title of this thread is a bit misleading. More manana. Need sleep.

I don't see a bow in the photo.

Also, I've never seen SD without a matched set of camo. Evolution pants and green Deception shirt. Hmmm. I think your bio-rythms may have been a little out of whack.
