Oh BTW that gentleman offered me $10.00 for the camera. I told him I would pass. I can get more than that off ebay. Appreciate your help and input.

Uh, small dear. Man I gotta get out of SoCal.

Chris, real nice picture as usual.

What kind of tree is he eating from?

Guys I know what you mean about that being a "small buck". He is definately a nice one, just a little smaller than what I have seen in the past.

The big goof that I made was that I was too shallow on the lower end of the frame. I chopped off his feet.

I'm not sure what kind of branch he is going after.

Ghog, good call on the camera, I think the lens you have is at least $50. Maybe more

nice clear pic, you process your own film? I just made prints for the first time yesterday, pretty cool to see pics develop in the chemicals

nice looking young buck, not quite a shooter yet for me, but he should have some real potential next year

oh no, by post processing, I mean with Photoshop. The photo was taken with a digital camera, and then I used Photoshop to bring out and enhance some of the details.

Hey great pic. Check out the tarcel (spelling?) glands on that guy, looks like he's stained all the way down to his hooves!

Well, it is not actually a DSLR. It is a fixed lens digital. (sony f707). I am saving up for a DSLR in the future. The hard part to swallow is the price of Big/Fast glass, which kind of comes with the territory for low-light wildlife shooting. Gosh, sometimes I think that I am crazy to even think of spending $5000 on one lens. (oh but it is a sweet lens) My wife is in support of it which is a good thing. The lens will also come in handy later in life when we have children and I want to photograph them in sports and what not, so it is a good investment, yet a big one. Good glass always maintains its value anyways.

Like I said, I'm saving up for it. I figure that I am pretty lucky to have the access to the animals that I have access to. I might as well maximize my opportunities with a nice camera/lens setup. just need the $$$ now. lol

The good thing about my situation is that as I save, cameras are getting better and cheaper, so I have another year to observe the latest and greatest. (but I am also missing some great opportunities too)
