Check out the holes on this bull. No hair on the neck either.

M4E,
He looks like he had a "tough go"If it wasn't a predator attack,I'd like to see the mother that kicked his Azz!Great pic, can't wait to see the pic with a bull and a arrow going through him next to the wallow!Good Luck!!

ticks maybe?? ive heard they can really get to some animals depending on how many they have, also a predator attack possibly too, healing wounds. Looks good though!!

Yeah he has been beat up a bit. Bad thing is I was ready to go in that day. Had all my stuff packed and at the last minute decided to stay home. Oh well. Such is life. Heading in this afternoon.

Here are a few more of him.

Here are a few more of him earlier in the year when he was in better shape. I would be happy taking him. I was holding out for a bigger one but now I am getting hungry.

I HATE IT, when people do this to me and make me feel like and idiot, but someone on here said looks good though...can I rib you a little, HAHA. If, you mean he looks good as in at least he is standing up right, I agree with you...HAHA. That bull wont make it through the winter for sure. Look how skinny he is, you can see his ribs very easy, and his front leg is all messed up, the bones sticking out, and can be easily seen. This bull is hurting. Its hart to say what happened, lion ? maybe, fight? yea maybe, but why is the hair gone on his neck, rubbed off during the fight? sounds reasonable. I hope someone (who is a horn hunter) put him down in the next few weeks. I hope you guys all have a succesful season, being smart, ethical and safe, good luck.

Let one fly already. The photos of your spot are great. Now do the deed. The next post should be "elk down". Good luck

We had a wounded bull that "Was Shot By A Hunter" in a park in west Portland a few years back. Stuck badly and made it a while before succumbing. Lots of the usual bad press on hunting. Then they found it after it died and lo and behold it had died from wounds inflicted by another elk. Keep on em Mulies, you get him.
