Bull Elk Raffle

The Intermountain Junior Rodeo Association is holding its Annual Bull Elk Hunt Raffle again this year. The hunt is donated by and held on the Black Ranch near Burney, California.
Each year's winner for the past seven years has taken trophy-class bulls and this year's winner can expect the same. All California Department of Fish and Game Rules apply.

The drawing will be held on August 31, 2003, at the Intermountain Junior Rodeo in McArthur, California.

Raffle tickets are available for a $10 donation for each ticket. You do not have to be present to win. The proceeds from this raffle are used to support various youth activities.

Mail your check ($10 per ticket), payable to the Intermountain Jr. Rodeo Assn., to 41397 Opdyke Lane, Hat Creek, CA 96040.

For tickets and further information, contact Howard at (530) 335-7519.

I'm not one to look a $10 elk hunt in the mouth, but are these ranched? Tules, Roosevelt or RM elk? fair chase? How large an area? Where the heck is Burney anyway?

In this area, the elk are Rocky Mountain. Burney is about 30 miles north of Redding. Don't know any other particulars though.
