I love the Rainguard coatings, especially for when I'm hunting in Nov here in Idaho. These new Elites seem to be comparing themselves against the best, any opinions out there.

I currently have Nikon Monarch's and love them, but they constantly need refocusing and they fog outside easily on cold days. I even added the Scope Dope, but it didn't help near enough.

I'm pretty much hooked on Leica products. I have the 8x32 and they are great. I could look through them all day with no eye fatigue.

My 10x42's swarovski's have servered me better than most of my dogs. These binos are tough, built rugged, and help me see game.
It was a real hard toss up when I bought my pair between swarovskis and Leicas. I really could not tell you why I picked one over the other. What I can teel you is owned a pair of $300 zeiss copies from Redfield that I thought were the bomb and after low light comparisons, there was a whole other world out there that I could see with the higher end optics, that were muted or to dark with the Redfireld 10x 50's which had a bigger objective.
I think every penny you put into your optics generally pays off. I agree with Bighorn67 too, lot less eye fatigue. You really can and will glass for hours.

I believe everythig with a lens on will fog up on the outside if you breathe on it, moisture in the air or moisrure in the pouch. I allways have a cloth handy in a waterproof bag and just due my best to keep all my optics wiped.

I've got a pair of Leica Ultravid 10x42. They are excellent glass. Comparable to the Swaros. I'm not sure either why I went with the Leicas over the Swaro EL's. Regardless, I'm not dissapointed. The new top end Zeiss Victory are awesome as well. I own a Zeiss Diascope and the optics are incredible. Possibly even better than the Leica. All the top end stuff is very good. Try each and see what your eyes like the best.

And dont discount the Zeiss Classics. They are the best bang for the buck out there. I have a couple buddies with them and let me tell you, my Leicas are not $900 better that the Zeiss Classics. Maybe a little better, but not that much.
