Hey guys!
<

I will be in the market for some scopes soon. I am buying an Encore and will be outfitting the barrels with scopes. Since I am buying a nice gun capable of excellent accuracy, I don't want to scrimp on the scopes.
I have been a Simmons or Tasco man most of my career due to finances. But I am looking at taking a step up to the next level. I am looking in the $200-300 range this time.
I was considering Nikons or Luepolds in that price range, but a local gun dealer told me that the Weaver Grand Slam series is comparable, if not better. The Weaver dealer at the NRA convention agreed, of course.
What do you guys know about these three scopes, Nikon, Leupold, Weaver Grand Slams? How do they compare, performance and price wise?
Remember that I am not talking about the top dollar Leupolds, nor is a Swarovski, Ziess, etc. an option. They are a bit pricey for me.

Thanks for your info and suggestions.
