Welp 19 points and I’m still a few yrs out for my cow elk lol. Gonna pass on my x zone tag. Success rates were low and I feel like it’s going to be 2 more years for there to be enough decent bucks in that zone. I’m definitely going to be scouting it though. Wife hunted x8 last year and It had a bad success rate . I would not be excited to draw that tag again and am concerned it will struggle to recover considering the fencing ,housing and loss of winter range we saw.I’ll be honest that we saw almost no fawns with the does while scouting no young bucks. Saw a couple big boys a couple weeks before the season. There are a few there! But they disappeared as they do. Hunted ten days during the season and never saw a buck !!! Bears a plenty . Overall x zones success looks down. Any one have any general x zone field reports . Certainly DFG is not posting any population info.

Not sure where to put in with 11 points, kind of a nowhere land.
Sheep tags down. Anything less than max points = zero points for at least the next 40 years or so.
Some interesting elk tags with some zones entirely on Private land.

It’s tough. I’m two points from max missed the first year and one other . I’ll never get a bull tag unless random so I’m going to hold out for a top meat cow tag. Waited this long I will put in a few share bull hunt draws

Sucks that people so close to max, effectively have zero points even though they have been putting in for many years too.
