The Commission adoption meeting is May 5 (I think, off the top of my head). They will be finalized after that day. They have posted the new Digest online, I did notice an error for the Fort Hunter Ligget apprentice bull hunt. The ending date should be Jan 2 not 12. There were a couple last minute corrections I also have to check once I get back in the office. Good luck to all.

The elk and antelope tag quotas should be on the web page now, I sent them to be posted and I think they said they would be up on Friday (the 22). I have not checked yet.

Military has a seperate draw for the other half of the tags (the tags seen in the DFG draw are half the total). Those elligible for the military draw can apply in both draws, but if successful in both, have to pick which tag they want to keep.

Joe, I am looking at the proposed elk hunts and something caught my eye, they have changed the dates on the FHL period 3 bull hunt (447) to earlier in December and have pushed back the FHL muzzleloader hunt (326) to the end of December. The part that doesnt seem right though is that the Muzzleloader hunt overlaps with the general method hunt. Is this correct? If it is, that muzzleloader hunt is going to be rough. I was up there last year for the period 3 bull hunt and it is a much tougher hunt than people think. It is late in the year, and the bulls that are left are all broken up and have been getting pushed for 3 months by the other hunters. It just seems odd that they would overlap the hunts. Including juniors, I think there were 16 hunters up there for the period 3 hunt (including military). Can you check if this is correct Joe? Thanks

They got the dates wrong,

Hunt 326 the Muzzleloader Bull is from Nov 5th - Nov 13
Hunt 472 and 326 Period 3 bull (regular and apprentice) is Dec 22 - Jan 2. I found a couple last second corrections and they were not able to catch them before print. My apologies to everyone on that one.
