High boat for the week was "Gaviota IX", with a total of 8 stripers for 4 fishing days, including 6 releases. Much of the fishing is close to Cabo, just 2-3 miles out in front of the harbor, but with the looming changes of water temperatures that are sweeping around the corner from the Pacific, the boats will most likely be moving farther offshore this coming week. For now, however, it has sure been a fuel saver and added lots of fishing time for the anglers. Overall counts for the Gaviota Fleet reflected 24 stripers, (21 released) 16 dorado, 1 wahoo and 17 yellowfin tuna, for 27 fishing days. The "Fish Cabo" reported in for 5 fishing days and reflected 5 stripers release, 1 sailfish released, 1 dorado, 1 wahoo and 20 yellowfin tuna and the "Fish Cabo I" reported in for 3 fishing days, reflecting 1 striper released, 32 yellowfin tuna and 2 dorado.
