Yesterday I put in for my deer tags. Would my hunter partners and I have a better chance by putting in for a party or individually?

(Hopely you understand the question i have presented)

If you put in individually your assigned one random draw number each, so each of you has a chance to draw once, separately and independently. If you put in as a party, each of you is assigned a random draw number, but if one draws, your whole party is drawn (as long as tags are available for each party member). So to answer your question, your odds are better by applying as a party then individually. But the odds of one person drawing, doesn't change by applying as a party or individually. Hope that makes sense to you.

but.... if you apply as a party for a restricted zone that has a low number of tags, you will only draw if you are the very first people drawn. in other words if they've already assigned 21 of the 23 tags available for example and your party has 3 members in it... NONE of you will draw they will skip to the next individual applicant.
