Thanks for the updates Joe. I do not see results from Hunter Liggett, am I reading it wrong? I hunted with a buddy down there for the antlerless hunt last week, it was an interesting, but tough hunt.

I have not received the tags back from FHL yet or heard anything yet on their success rates. I am hoping to find out pretty soon.

Looking forward to the results on the San Luis Res hunt, how that went being that its all locked in private land.
Courious if landowners were allowing hunters on the land without a huge trespass fee.

San Luis Reservoir was 100%, one on private and one on public. I have not talked to the hunter but I heard he knew someone with property and was allowed to hunt. That is all rumor so I can not confirm that. Both were bulls.

I have no idea, was not there and have not seen any pictures of them. I can check the tags for points but that is not really a good guage of their size.

Hey Joe,

Remember that big Bull that was found dead last year in East Park? What happened, is he the all time record Tule? I see in Boone & Crockett that this elk is still the biggest:

SCORE: 379

LOCATION: Glenn County, CA

HUNTER: Picked Up

OWNER: J. & J. Lopeteguy

DATE: 2005

KEY MEASUREMENTS:
Length of main beam: Right 47 2/8 - Left 51
Inside spread: 39 3/8
Circ. of smallest place between 1st & 2nd points: Right 9 4/8 - Left 8 7/8
Number of ponts: Right 8 - Left 8

Oh...Merry Christmas!,
thanks,
Dave

I was there when they measured that bull (I thought it grossed over 400 but am second guessing my memory now). I also can not remember the net (I am not that into scores). I believe the antlers eventually went back to the landowner and I have not heard anything since, not sure if he will officially enter them or not. It was a very impressive animal to say the least.
