Camp 5?
Haven't heard anything about them in over a year. Recommended? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
I'd never book another hunt with them if they were around. I had a hunt (for 4) booked with them 3 years ago and one of our party had a major--life changing--medical emergency 28 days prior to our hunt. Without going into any details, it prevented him from hunting for quite a while. As a group we decided it would be best to delay our hunt until this resolved one way or another.
So how did the folks at Camp 5 handle it? They refused to re-book us, give any refund of the deposit or a credit of any sort toward a future hunt.
They had their "policy" and they stuck by it.
I couldn't get our money back but I swore I'd tell the story publicly EVERY chance that I had from that day on...starting at the San Diego SCI convention and continuing on to this day.
They may be okay as guides but know nothing about dealing with clients. In the big picture it probably doesn't matter but they'll never see another dime from at least 4 California hunters...guaranteed.

Didn't they have a bad accident with one of their hunters not too long ago?
