My first posting for the pig board. You guys are great for helping each others.

How do you get to the upper portion of area 6 in Camp Roberts? (The area that's north/east of HWY101 and south/west of Salinas River, and above the Gate 3 check station.)
The couple reserviores I checked last time were all dried up (Nov 30). Maybe the rain will fill them up with some water later this month??

We went north-side, under the freeway bridge last time I was there, but be careful, it's slippery.

there is realy no res. in that area of 6. What they are is wash out areas of the river. The only wat to get to them is to go on Bradley Rd to what we call hub-cap corner, and walk in. If you go south, which I think you are talking about, you will come to the CR water treatment plant, a bunch of ponds. You need to go to the east garison MATES gate and get on the tank trail by the river ,past the runway. good luck.

oops, I think I didn't phrase it clearly.
What I meant was how to get to area 6 north of Gate 3 check station. I can go on the Bradley Rd east of Salinas River, but how do I get to the other(west) side of the river without having to wade thru the river?
I noticed that there is another Bradley Rd in the Impact Off Limit Area at the west side of 101 which will go into area 6 according to the map, but I suppose I am not allowed to drive on it since it's in the offlimit area?

The only way to get to the north end of Area 6 is to wade across the river from Bradley Road. I've seen guys walked from the west end of High Water Bridge up towards that area, but not sure how far they went because it's a quite a walk to get to the north end of Area 6. Last weekend I stripped down to my short, carried my pant and boot in a plastic bag and waded across the river from Bradley Road. Didn't see much fresh pig signs. Maybe I'm at the right place at the wrong time.
