Hey everyone, I was just wondering if me and my buddy wanted to go hunting over at camp roberts for the day, would we be allowed to pay at the gate for an admission or do we need to mail in a hunting permit?

I scouted The Indians a few years ago looking for Turkeys. What I found was a bunch of inbreds who were shooting pistols and drinking beer. It's too accesable for the average Joe to get there. LPNF has some pigs but they are few and far between. Best bet for public land hogs in that area is Hunter-Liggett. Or save your pennies and hunt on private. Check out Bryson's-Hesperia resort.
