Hey lowell,
I noticed that on the hunting program for CR, there will be a hunt on the opening of A zone, it says the dates are from Aug 23 - Sep 1st. Does this mean you will be able to hunt during the week or is it referring to just the weekend of Aug 23rd and the weekend of the Aug 30th to Sept 1st. If it does mean during the week, I may just take a couple of days off and head your way. Let us know.

Thats right , a 10 day hunt weekend and weekday,every day til sept 1st. Oh what fun we will have.

Well, I got my room reserved at Billeting. Not bad, and definately cheaper than staying downtown. I hope to meet some of you up there! Here is a question...Is CR covered with animals or is it going to be an all out hard hunt? Anyone tell me?

Well, I look forward to hopefully catching up with you and saying hey! I have taken approx 9 pigs in the last 2 years, all with rifle. I prefer bowhunting, but when I hunt Vandenberg, it is just too difficult to get a shot on them in the thick stuff they cling to. Anyhow, good luck and I look forward to more of your scouting reports.

I just thought of another question. I was wondering what the best way to hunt these pigs would be? Do people do a lot of driving around and looking or is it mostly done on foot? Just curious. I am used to walking around alot.

Just have to say before meeting Boar Tracks this weekend and hunting on Camp Roberts you would think the guy might be crazy or feeding you a line when it comes to the shorts and t-shirt thing. It is HOT and shorts and t-shirt are not out of the question. I will definately be backup to run after some pigs. Might even take advantage of some of thoses fishing weekends to do some scouting. Thanks for the wonderful a awesome resource Boar Tracks.

Hey guys I will be stationed down there starting in a few weeks I leave Washington on the 15 Aug. I was thinking of stoping there for a bow hunt on the way down. Like to meet up with someone even if I dont hunt so I can get the lay out of the place and just do a little scouting.
