Who is going to be at Camp Roberts this weekend? I'll be there in a brown S-10 on Saturday then in a black suburban from then on. We'll be camped at the tracks. I should be there by 6:30 or so.

I was wrong Vernon. Greg will be in a white Grand Prix. If he can work it out with work, he'll follow us there.

Kinda wish I could make it. I only went down there twice, and it's a pretty awesome place. I believe in the right conditions, you could definitely smack a hog.

So, who's carrying a bow?

I take my Bow, ML and 30-06. Maybe a shotgun too. The guys I'm going with are only hunting by the river so I'll use whatever feels right when I get there. The hogs are there.

How bout a refresher for those of us who haven't been to C.R. in a while?
<

What time does the gate open, and how much to get in ?

Also ... anyone know how much this year for the whole season?

Does CR still get packed with people, like the last time you guys all went over there. I know there were some concerns over safety. I still want to head over there, but I don't like hunting in crowds. How has it been lately?

What are the hunt dates for the 04-05 season?

Thanks,

I've never hunted Camp Roberts and don't know just how far it is from me. Looks like I have some research to do.

Rules, location, camping, you know that sort of stuff. Anyways good luck to all that are going and maybe we can make it next time.

15.00 at the gate. Or 55 for the year. It's about 10 miles from Paso Robles. I think the gates open at 5. Not too sure. I'll be in line long before that.

A couple of us will be there and staying by the RR track. In a blue toyota xtra cab with red campershell.

Mel, I think the crowd is not that bad if you stay away from the river. From my previous trips, the majority of hunters stays by the river. Along both sides of the river is very brushy and safety is a concern there. But everywhere else in the base I only run into a hunter once in a while and sometimes none.

If anyone is planning on getting in line way before the gates open just be careful not to get a ticket. I barely talked my self out of one last time I was there. The Sheriff was a real D**K. But he was technically right, there is no parking allowed near or along the road, so just be careful.
