We came up empty too. After a day of hunting we saw, a badger, a few deer and no pigs. I don't know what it was but there were not as many pigs as usual. Weather? Fire? Had a good time anyway. I did hear about 5 shots this morning but no one had checked in anything when we left.(2 yesterday) Camped next to hoglover and gunner. Maybe hoglover will tag something today.

I was driving on Bee Rock Road Saturday, a paved road, hit a hole so big that it bent 2 rims.

Those 5 shots you heard was some dumb A$$ in a sliver chevy pick up doing last minute practice shooting. I hiked up to him and gave him a piece of my mind. I can honesly say I had one of the worst hunting experience yet. I had to guys pointing there rifles at me (separate situations), trying to see what I was going. That really pissed the hell out of me. Next, I had a guy sit right in front of me while I was waiting for the pigs. When I say right in front, I mean 20ft in front of me down hill. I told him if he could move, and he said no. Well, that put me over the top and I simple pack my things and left. On top of that the roads on CR were like a ZOO. I really didn't feel safe, nor did my hunting buddies. Hope they do something about this or else CR is going down the drain real fast.

Got back yesterday had a good time we seen deer,turkey/quail,dove,rabbits no pigs but I hunted the areas that i know were we have gotten pigs in the past. but know luck. in one of the areas saturday afternoon about 7 pm i could here too hogs fighting but i never saw them. i saw at the line opening morning that there was a lot of people so i figured that the river was going to be pretty packed with people. but the areas that i hunt i hardly even seen anyone like areas 1,2,3 we know a couple of good areas in these areas that the hogs past threw. and its mosly the canyons or in the riveens. Shot sounds like you had a bad hunt. theres some people that dont use there head like the ones that had there guns on you and the one who already knew you were hunting there. i would have found out what they were driving and then put a complaint against them. Im glad they didnt shoot. my dad has been shot at too times up there in yolo county while deer hunting. and ill be the first to tell you they need that gun to be shoved up there A%%.

We didn't brought our shotgun so we hit areas 1,2,3,4,5 hard on saturday and Sunday and no fresh sign of hog. We saw elks, bobcat, deer (some nice bucks), and a sheep graveyard. There must have been about 50-60 dead sheep dumped on that brushy hillside. Not sure how the base let someone haul in that many dead sheeps and dump them on the hill.

Cda55, for hunting that brown S-10 need to be lifted not lowered

The guy with me was bringing his suburban but the transfer case broke Thursday night. I was committed and went anyway. I have a jeep almost done. Like my above post said, I bent the rims on a paved road. If it was a dirt road I could see it but a paved one??

It was a mess. The officer Saturday was giving everyone the seat belt talk. He needs some people skills. After this I don't know if I'll ever go back. And after Lowells stuff, FHL is off limits too.

Cda55, I hear ya about the seat belt talk by that sheriff on Saturday evening. He threw one at me while I was walking from truck to the check-in/check-out window. On Sunday morning the guard at the gate gave me another seat belt talk. The nonsense thing is the Sheriff told me to make sure to wear seat belt while driving on the asphalt which I assumed he meant the paved roads. The guard told me seat belt on all the time while driving on base which to me means whether I'm on paved roads or 4wheeling on the hills. I feel like, which one is it?
