CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – A well-managed pond adds wildlife habitat, backyard fishing opportunities and beauty to rural property, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC). MDC's Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center will host a Pond Management Workshop March 29 from 6:30 p.m., for landowners and anyone interested in pond management.
According to the MDC, this workshop will demonstrate how to construct a multipurpose pond and care for its watershed.
