hello again. Has anyone been out to the plains lately? If so seen anything. The last few times I've been it seems to have gotten quite popular. The place I used to go has about 10 trucks parked at it. On the weekends. This is before the sun even comes up. I have'nt been there in about 6 months. Since some drunk driver decided to total the 4x4 on saturday night. And put My dad in the hospital. I have to take the little truck. So till We get a new one. I was thinking of going there. I think I might just go on saturday. Even if it's just for a long walk?

I was out there about three weeks ago. It was on a weekday but I didn't see a soul out there.
Might want to check with Kernhuntr. He lives pretty close and is out there a fair amount.
It's a big parcel so if you get off of Soda Lake Rd. you'll likely not see anyone. Remember to stay on the two tracks as I found out when I was there last.

If you see that many trucks out there...they might be on to something. Those hogs move due to being pushed. There is no real way to pattern them real good in that country. This time of year the only reason to be there is yote hunting, hogs, or taking pictures of whatever. The last may not be out of the realm of possibilities. I don't know what your'e situation is but if you can, go during the week, it's empty.
Next time you see that many trucks try to figure out why they are there, if you see a few of them you'll know soon enough why they are in the area.

took a pig out of there a couple months back. caught them crossing the road early in the morning.

I was looking up some properties in that area and I found that property prices are reasonable considering the prices in Paso Robles. Is there any good deer or upland game hunting around there? I found some properties around Soda Lake Rd. Whats the nearest town around there?
