Carrizo Plain Dog Trial

Camped there last Feb. on the last weekend of the quail season. No quail, but lots of rabbits for the dogs to chase. When hiking I saw a Pointing Dog Field Trial in progress. The judges, handler and owner are on horseback. The English Pointer is the white speck above and in the middle of the horses. Great area. Looking forward to going back.

Very nice photo WB. I really like the grass in the foreground. It makes the photo more interesting and doesn't make the view immediatly strain to see the riders. Sure looks like a great place to camp!!
