My son and 2 daughters and I had a great hunt with Craig and his assistant guide Robbie. We took our hogs out of the same herd about 10 seconds apart. My sons sow weighed 206 lbs hanging and mine weighed in at 198 lbs hanging.

Craig knew exactly where the pigs would be exiting the barley field and got us set up for a 140 yard shot. His knowledge of the ranch and pig behavior was excellent and his ability to see pigs before anyone else was impressive as well. I can highly recommend his operation and for other parents hunting with their kids, you can book with Craig knowing he will take good care of you and your children. Combine that with his ranch and you have a win win as far as Im concerned.

For those who like to know what cartridges were used My son shoots a 7-08 and I use a 7 mag. View attachment 82199 20231204_093726.jpg

Nice! How cool to hunt with your daughters and super congrats to u all. At least they weren't dinkers u got some great meat hogs for sure. Thanks for sharing Daddy63! It sucks to see how dry and brown the ground and vegetation is in cali. That's the one thing i enjoy the most in Fl. Now since i moved here is everything is plush green, I even have a green grass yard.....lol....tra

That's a great story. Congrats on the pigs and the awesome experience. Just outta curiosity, in case I wanted to take my kids there, how much was the whole hunt? BTW, nice place TRA.

Sorry I was outta town a few days. We did the 1 day trip which was the afternoon before and would have been a full day the next day if needed. Craig was very cool about me bringing my girls just to observe and didn't charge me for them joining us. We all had a great time and my 12 year old daughter skinned a rattled that was too close to us and had to go.

I'm also curious about the cost for the hunt. How much was it for the guided hunt?

Have a couple of family and friends that were interested in trying it out. Figure a guided private property hunt will keep them much more entertained then spending months scouting first haha
