Looks like at least half the population is sucked into the feed station at the trap... Are people supposed to go out "hunting" for them, or can they just sit by the trap and wait for them to come in?

Take it as it is. Its a high fence ranch that is closing and offering a good deal and opporitunity to take home some pork in their last month of operation.
I have never been there, but a buddy of mine has. Seems like (posted pics) the pigs are coming to feed at night and hiding out during the day. They are considered livestock, but its not a petting zoo. These are still pressured animals.
I would definitely be taking advantage of this if I could afford it right now and had an empty freezer.

You can hunt them however you want but as DirtyDave has observered the pigs are coming to the catch area well after dark, but if you want to sit there you are more than welcome to. If it were me I would be hunting them in the bedding areas were the brush is the thickest or sit on the hillside and watch the other side of the ravine for a chance at shooting a pig.
We have the camera aiming at the feed area so that we can get a total count of the animals we have out there.

Any meat pigs or are these mostly trophies? Either way, I'm calling you tomorrow. If anyone in SoCal wants to carpool, PM me and we can talk dates.

I talked to Bill and there was some confusion on the date of the lease expiring. They are still running hunts at Cedar Canyon up to Feb 18th. They have to be out Feb 28th he said.

Again these are the last of the hogs that survived all the hunts there so they are very wily and tough to kill. $25 a day and $400 if you do kill one.

Call Bill if interested. 714-968-6623 leave a message and they will call you back

Bill is a really good guy and is doing all he can to get these hogs off the property (pretty unique opportunity in my mind). He made it really clear that these hogs that are left ain't dumb. They are the survivors. Bring your "A" game. I would have liked to have an AR-15 rather than my 7mm Mag. Because the opportunity was a mili-second when the dogs busted a hog that ran between the thick stuff.

There's only a few left.
