Chasing Some Hogs This Morning! Pic,s....

So i went to my local bow range ( BMB ) to shoot early this morning and even before i pulled in the parking lot i caught a glimpse of a nice hog on the hillside. As soon as i parked i hit the hillside and put the stalk on for photos and video clips and a good tune up for lake sonoma stalking oigs.
Once i got to the one pig i spotted 2 more pigs on the hillside. Rhen i spotted a few more they where all around me,. Now i am a couple hundred yards up the hillside and another archer spotted on the pigs caught up with me and we worked our way very close to them with in 30 yrds. Before 1 spotted us and they jetted over the hillside. Found there main trial that went into some scrub brush and bingo found there bedding too. I would say they were between 75 and 200 pnds out of the group. They were all solid black russin, real nice coats on them. I got my exercise this morning. I got a good shot with the other archer with me up close for sure, check these out.

I see that group of hogs all the time. They are my neighborhood.

It was around 8:30 am, there was a light mist still and the ground was soft and quite and the wind was in my face. Perfect for a stalk! Yeh they were chewing stalk roots and rooting. Got my blood going first thing this morning thats for sure. Got to within 30 yrds before the one took notice, then he did the 360 spin high tail it out of there move and cought up with the rest. Like i said it was a great tune up for l.s. , got me excited.....tra

Bret, you can be, although the pigs are off limit (look only). There are some turkeys around that sometimes walk by my driveway.

L2H...it must be nice to see game like that every now and then around your place. Next time you see a turkey, shoot one for me during season and I'll meet you at 152 for it. LOL That goes for a pig as well. LOL

Only 29 more days till L.S. I get more excited with every passing day! I've been preparing by doing strength, agility, and endurance exercises and now I'm trying to get a small boat fixed up to do the boat-in hunt strategy. Keep at it TRA!
