Wow , What an awesome story!!! I worked at a vet hospital and we would see all kinds of crazy things,especially gun shot wounds! Mostly people would shoot someones dog for barking too much.

I would never want to hunt with those guys!!

If it were my dog i would have shoved that guys gun up his you know what.

Well that was a great story even if it does bring a tear to a dog lovers eye. The appreciation for a good working dog is just different than what you have with a couch potato. Good story.

I did get the pleasure of knowing Chet in person. Pretty cool to see a dog with 1 eye, half a tail, and a bark that would scare just about anyone. I didn't believe the story at first, until I got to meet Chet.

This is THE very reason why I hesitate to take pilgrims along for a hog hunt with my dogs...I care not for my safety or theirs compared to the safety of my dogs.

You can bet that they are absolutely clear when they are to load their weapon and when they are to shoot.
