That's a great story. It has all the elements of an awesome wild boar archery hunt. Glassing. Stalking. Adrenaline. The shot. Finding half the arrow. Blood. Tracking. Crawling through pig tunnels. Boning it out in the field. The dreaded climb out of a hell hole. Pain. Celebration. Good buddies. You did it all in one hunt. That's a great hunt. Like you said, you're lucky to have been with an experienced group of hog whackers. Congratulations on a monster boar!
Thanks guys. Any suggestions on where to get it mounted close to SF? My wife is going to have a surprise when she gets into the freezer to grab some ice....oh well, she told me and Jason not to come home w/out a hog. Gotta love those Missouri gals. I hope BearClaw will post up a close up of the cutters, I only had a throw away black and white camera with me in my pack. Hopefully those picts will come out when I get it developed. Thanks again guys, what a weekend. My poison oak is really looking nice right now, both forearms are covered, a little on my left leg, a fresh spot on my right leg and a couple spots on my back.....gotta love it!!!
