Hey guys,

As of today, Chopper is scheduled for surgery next thursday, the 12th. Nothing serious, something about his butt....
<
JK Bone spur...

So, there's a chance that we might not do the NRA dinner, Cecil, and that Chopper may be immobilized for a few days. Most of us know the ranch, but we will have to take care of the first timers. Of course, Chopper will be giving us some intel from now until then.

Good news, more Crown for us...hehe

BDB and SE, thanks for your comments. I haven't started him on making his equipment yet, but that's a good idea. LOL.

I think that bone spur has been troubling Chopper for a while. As I am sipping a vodka tonic right now, a toast..."Chopper, to a quick recovery".

Guys, I hate to bring up this subject yet again but I feel I must. The last couple of trips I've had the luxury of a comfortable bed. I think it only fair that I give up the bed and sleep on the couch or floor, which ever is left when I get there. I'll do my best (yeah right) to keep the snoring down to a minimum. God Bless.

Orso, i hate to tell ya this....but the reason we're always so kind to give you the back room....is to isolate ya from the rest of us (he snores pretty bad
<
)! As far as i'm concerned, it's yours again........either that, or i'll have to bring an extra bottle of crown to sleep.

So everybody's on for 7pm meeting time at the gate.....Kentuck...where are you?

He acts like it, but shoots like he's from SanFran.

My goodness!
What did you ga..,.. er, ..bay area folks do to Chopper?
Bone spur in the arse?

Seriously, Chopper, I hope that everything goes well and you have a speedy and smooth recovery.

To the rest of you pig-dogs hunting up at Chopper's:
I am very jealous.
Have a great trip!
Don't be too hard on Chopper.
Good luck and give us the reports asap.
I'll be in the Sierras watching kids catch trout, but thinking of hogs and bows.

Bummer to hear about the bone spur, Chopper. At least once you're rid of it, you'll be a lot happier. It always feels better when it quits hurting. While not widely recommended by the medical profession, I hear Crown and Percacet makes for an interesting cocktail... but sure will cut down on the driving.
<

Are there any first-timers on this trip? I believe most of us have been there before at least once. I s'pose we'll all get by.. fighting for ass-shooter's secret spot.
<

Is it time yet?

Chopper, I hope surgery goes well.

The rest of you guys, please take care of me as I'm a newbie to Choppers place. My first pig hunt. I'll have my scent-lok training wheels on in seclusion 3D.

(oh when I asked for your help in taking care of me as a newbie, uh, I don't mean I want to end up with bone spurs in my butt...I'll sleep in the pick up

BuckeyeTRadArcher - You couldn't be with a better group. Almost all of them know the ranch inside and out, are great hunters and great guys. I'm sure they'll take realy good care of you and get you in awesome spots.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. Actually it is a chipped bone in my foot that is causing problems and pain. I'll be under the knife and grinder next Thursday so I won't have much if any involvement in your hunt. I'll be around but not doing much. There's enough guys on this hunt with knowledge of the ranch to help out the newcomers. See you all next week.
