Kentuck,

My heartfelt prayers go out to you and your family. I'll do my best to get a hog for you.

I'll be up at the gate by 6 or 6:30 on Thursday guys.

I can be at the gate at any given time. Someone send me Spec's contact info and I'll give him a call. I'll be heading out of the office in San Jose.

Hey I have a Block target I'll bring too. Do I need a walkie talkie? I don't have one.

Went to the field course this past weekend and could not stay focused. Too rushed to get some practice in between the rain and Mother's Day activities. Hopefully, I'll get my mojo back on track and send those arrows back to the spot I'm looking by this weekend.

Kirk, I sent you my phone numbers to coordinate for Thursday Night. Just let me know where and when I need to show up.

Buckeye, bring a walkie talkie if you have one.

Lure - As there are no guarantees in life I can't say I will definitely take a hog this weekend. However, I'm feeling pretty good about this hunt. I'm hungry for another bow harvest. That pig from last trip tastes so darn good, I want to have more in the freezer.

Buckeye, you've got mail.

If you're in San Jose already, you're as good as halfway there. I'm leaving from Pleasanton... hopefully between 1600 and 1630 on Thursday. You've got my cell number, so give a call and if we need to meet up, we can meet at the Paicines store.

BDB, you may be right about what we'll be killin' this weekend... but there'll be some killin' going on. And some hunting too! I am itching some kinda bad to take my first archery hog, and I'm feeling kinda good about the weekend.

Let's git 'er done!

Hey Speck, send me your cell number again. They're migrating our email servers and I'm missing some emails.

Hey team, looking for some feedback on carbon based scent lok and the use of scent wafers in your clothing bags...my brother in law and I wear scent lok clothes in the fall when we hunt deer in Ohio. You know the kind you activate in the dryer? Seems to work pretty well. Walked up on some does mid day when we were putting up stands and ladders. They didn't even bother to get up and move. Didn't have bows in hand though. A 12 point buck even plopped down below my brother in law's tree stand and hung out for 2 hours on the opposite side of the tree his stand was on. No angle for him though. Bummer. Anyway, my question is, if you toss an earth wafer in your bag with the carbon clothes, will they absorb all earth sent and be less effective at absorbing the human odor in the field? Maybe I should leave the wafers out of the bag that the carbon based clothes are in? Thoughts?

I have some summer weight scent lok hunting clothes I've been itching to try, but don't know how comfortable they'll be. They might still end up being to warm. Maybe I should bring some plain old weekend pants for back up... pondering, pondering...

Got the bags pretty much packed. And re packed. Is it time to head out yet? Getting all antsy pantsy to get out there.

Oh by the way, I think I worked out my kink from this weekend's "rush job" at the field course. Seems I was forgetting to tuck those shoulder blades back on final anchor/release. No wonder I couldn't find my mojo. I'm back now. At one with the force and all. Let's zing some arrows...

Buckeye, I have a radio I can loan you for the weekend if nobody else has an extra one. You'll need to bring at least six "AA" batteries to run it all weekend.
As for the scent lok, carbon, charcoal..... or whatever kind of clothes you got. I don't think that you'll need wafers in the clothes bag. I would suggest the earth scent wafers in a bag with all the other clothes you'll be wearing that is not scent lok. Socks, underarmour, even your shoes. I also like the spray like carbonblast or any other kind that I can spray on my boots.

Nice looking one though !!

BuckeyeTradArcher: Do you have the Scentloc Savana series for warm weather? I have a set and like them for sitting in a stand but the fabric is just too darn noisy for silently stalking around. The set I have are anyway. It kinda ticked me off, why make clothing for archers (obviously it's not solely for archers but it is a key target group) that is not quiet to sneak around in? I don't use the wafers on the Scentloc items, but do everyhting else normally.
