Negative Rampart on the Piggmisser...Roadmisser... YES....but when it comes to hogs the roadmisser brings home the bacon..Cmon bro... Track'em n Wack'em!!!!
There sure have been a lot of real nice boars taken off of Choppers place. I hope the rest of the crew does well. Congrats Arrowslinger on another nice boar~!
THAT was a great time!! This crew was a lot of fun, and Chopper is a great guy. Some really good stories are going to come out of this hunt, but I'll let those guys tell 'em, not to spoil the fun...y'all are just going to have to wait for them to post up the play by plays!
Thanks again to all... Chopper, you're a great host. I had a blast.
Pigig - Thanks for all the insight and words of wisdom, and showing me around the place. Think about changing your alias to "The Sage".
Bubba - I'm having cravings for carne asada.
Bighorn - Watch out for those clawed acorns, they'll put a hitch in your get along
Luredriver - Now I can say "I know this guy that can take a judo point and..."
Speckmisser - Next time I'm following you at 20 paces. Arrow nocked, and waiting for the pigs to explode out from under you...
Orso - "I've temporarily misplaced Buckeye, oh wait that's him in that pile of poison oak"
Arrowslinger - I want the soundtrack to Chopper's Wild Hog Adventures. I think you've corrupted me.
Next time I'm bringing a few dozen judos. Now I know the amazing things you can do when you...,
Greta time again, Buckeye, it was a pleasure hunting with you. Had fun out in the field and up ath the cabin as usual.
The total tally as of Sunday afternoon was two down pigs, one stuck pigs, seven missed shots at pigs, two doen turkeys, one stuck turkey, about 10 missed shots on turkeys. These numbers could change. Speckmisser stayed for the evening hunt...
I stuck a turkey but it did not go down, he ran off with three others. I hit it with a expandable broadhead. The broadhead opened up and went through about half way and the turky flapped and broke my arrow in tow. He then took off. I gave em a good half hour and folowed blood trial for about 50 yards then nothing...I beleiv eI seen him the next day witht he same three turkeys, but did not get a chance at them again. I was wathcing about 5 hogs get on top of a ridgline from over a canyon. As they were entering Choppers property heading down into the barley field, a few gun shots rang out from over Choppers neighbor and they dissapeared back over into the canyon. I was set up pretty good for them also. That was about 15 minutes before sunset. I waited until after half hour after sunset but they did not reappear.
I'll give you a hint on AS hog, he was biiger than Speckmisers hog that he bagged in April 1st...
Way to go AS...this hog wasn't shot in the A$$ by any chance was it? It sounds like a great time was had by all. Good to hear that Chopper is up and about, I can't wait to get back up there in the future!
