Sacfire,

That wasn't a tourniquet, it's what my Aunt in Ky calls a hillbilly bandaid. Seems I left my first aid kit in another pack and all I had was toilet paper and rope. The rope was tied on just tight enough to hold the paper on.

I had laid my knife down in thick grass while gutting my pig and had to kneel down to move it and I knelt down on my knife.

AS,

Another funny part is the male nurse at the hospital was from Lousiana and grew living off the land. He was having fun with my situation. I ended up taking him some pig meat later on.

Wish I had the money to make this hunt. You all should do well. The place is crawling with pigs.

OK fellers, 2 more days until we depart of some hog slaying. Lets plan on 4 of us on this hunt as one may have to drop out. We don't need to organize the food but what I have always seen in the past is that we always end up with WAY too much food since everyone seems to think "Oh I'll bring a bunch of ________ for everyone to share at dinner".

My suggestion is we post up any food that you will bring that is more than just for your consumption that way we don't have a ton of leftovers.

I have no game to bring as I said in an earlier post so I was going to bring some basics. I'll post up what I'm bringing and if any of you others guys want to do the same, cut and past the past posts and add yours so that each post has the full list to avoid confusion:

BDB bringing:
Enough butter for all.
2 pounds of Pete's coffee.
2 liters of whole milk
Enough corn for 1 dinner for all.
a butt load of potato salad for all.

That and my own b-fasts and lunches, water, and booze. I can always add to it if we are short anything but this is a start. If you guys don't want to do it this way, just say the word and we can not worry about it and all bring our own food.

and if BDB says he shot a 100lb sow and he wants you to help blood trail it....odds are this is what you'll find at the end of the blood trail:
