Some pics form this past week!

The first Gregg and I with 9 birds, very frustrating hunting, the birds were in big coveys, no wind and two days after it had rained. This was after 7 hours of walking and seeing about 150 chukars!

Not a good pic, but this ledge has about 30 birds heading over the cliff, I never saw them again!

Somewhere in these rocks is a covey of 50 birds, I never found them again either!

Here's Gregg with our 9 birds for the day!

After I went into work for a few hours I made it up to a different spot for some good shooting, I had my limit in 3 hours, smaller coveys meant better shooting, I did come across one covey over a 100 birds!

We spent the afternoon scouting with good findings, we ran into four guys who had been walking all morning for two birds, while talking to them I could here birds calling, Gary spotted them in the binos about 200 yds from their truck, they raced over and got 3 or 4 more, while they were chasing them I spotted three more coveys from where the were parked, they had birds all over them and the terrain was rather flat

Here's the total for the day, I had my buddy Gary with me who got one bird!!

Great pics, kid...
Number two is a great example of chukar country, for those who have any questions about this bird and what it takes to hunt them...

Nicw pics, Kid. Looks like familiar territory. I spend yesterday with a couple of my buddies going through very similar terrain, and got into several coveys. One partner busted a big group of about 50. hey went off a big cliff and sailed for a mile or so.
So far 2 days in the field this season, and it's looking to be epic. But they are not making it easy. I noticed yesterday they were flushing much further out. And they're all at the tops of ridges.
Man, am I tired today!

Nice job again Kid....just lookin at those hills makes me tired! That first picture looks looks like perfect habitat. Is the Cheet grass starting to green up yet?

Sounded like another long day of chasin those "MotherChukars" as they laugh back at you. What a rush....
