CLOSED TO HUNTING (CAMP ROBERTS)

I am sorry to say that it looks like the Dec 13 and 14 JHO Hog hunt is cancelled, this includes all public access on Dec 13 and 14th,2003 for hunters too. This last minute change is due to a large number of troops that will be training here(CR) before they are sent to the mid-east. I will let you all know spec's when I get them, But as of today, Dec 13th and 14th, is closed to hunting. This order is as per LTCol L.

I know this screws up a ton of people and I'm sorry.

As for the safety of hunters at CR, Did anyone have any close calls or did you just have hunters in a area that you where in and felt that it was a unsafe condition.
Please let me know.

I'm personally putting in a request for Russell T. to find Saddom himself and put an end to this mess. Sodomy is now screwing up our hog hunting.

If Russell can't find him we can send Brent (Onetrack) over there.

No problem Lowell. That place is used for thing a liitle more important things then hogs. Does anyone have any ideas of another place we can meet and hunt? Around here the options are slim.

I could only make the 13th-14th weekend. What is the schedule for 2004 going to be? I had heard that CR may be open every weekend all year. Is that true?

It's actually ok with me that it is closed. I could use that weekend to hunt my A31 deer tag.

That is really too bad. I was really looking forward to putting faces to some of the names. But, the troops do have a higher priority.
Guess I will have to change gears and head to one of the GR properties and see if I can find an oiker there.

Whew!!! I was getting worried about my 27/28 trip. Sorry that some of you had to cancel your trip.

I don't hope they open CR for every weekend, because there may be too much pressure on the piggies.
